Missouri Man Charged With Sex Trafficking in Medfield Teen Case

A 30-year-old Missouri man has been charged in federal court in Providence, Rhode Island, with sex trafficking of a child and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in sexual activity. 

Stephen Ardrey of Springfield, Missouri, was arrested Fridahy in connection with the disappearance of a 17-year-old developmentally delayed Massachusetts teen from Medfield.

Brittany Thompson was found with Ardrey yesterday morning in Coventry, Rhode Island, when police were alerted by a motorist who saw them walking along the side of a road.  The teen had last been seen leaving the Medfield Public Library with a man on Monday afternoon.

Prosecutors say Ardrey has a criminal record that includes sex offenses.  He is being held without bail.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
