A plan to hike the minimum wage in Massachusetts to the highest in the nation is moving forward. A bill championed by Senate President Therese Murray would raise the wage from eight-dollars-an-hour to eleven by 2016. The bill was released by the Senate Ways and Means Committee and will be put before the full Senate on Tuesday. Business leaders are objecting, saying any hike in the minimum should be tied to unemployment reform.
