Mike Dukakis Testifies On Behalf Of Robel Phillipos

€” Former Massachusetts governor, and one-time presidential candidate, Michael Dukakis testified for the defense in the Robel Phillipos trial.

The friend of the accused Boston Marathon bomber has been charged with lying to investigators after the attacks.

Dukakis testified he called Phillipos the Saturday after the bombings after his mother expressed concern. The former governor said Phillipos seemed upset over his FBI questioning, but did not ask for a lawyer.

Dukakis says the families have been friends for years, and said outside the courthouse he was not worried about his reputation by testifying.
