Menino: Bring Home the “World Series Cup”

You have to hand it to Boston Mayor Tom Menino -- he's never met something about sports that he couldn't get wrong. During an appearance yesterday meant to encourage fans to behave responsibly when the World Series starts tonight, Menino urged the Red Sox to "bring home the World Series cup." Menino was likely thinking about the Stanley Cup, which the Boston Bruins lost to the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this year. Menino has become known for his sports-related flubs, including misnaming everyone from Celtics great Kevin Garnett to NBA Commissioner David Stern to Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
