MBTA Suspends Green Line Service Near Arlington Station

After some smoke was observed near the Arlington Street station, the MBTA as suspended use to all Downtown area stops..

Smoke was seen this morning near the Green Line stop at the Arlington Station, forcing the MBTA to suspend service. No fire was reported, according to WCVB.

Here is the information from the MBTA:

• All Green Line Branches: Service Suspended to the Downtown Area due to an Electrical/Power Problem.
• B-Branch: will terminate at Blandford St. Alternate bus service will operate between Blandford and Government Center.
• C and D-Branches: will terminate at Kenmore Station. Bus service will operate between Kenmore and the downtown area.
• E-Branch: will terminate at Prudential. Customers may board the Route 39 bus for connections.
