Mayor Jon Mitchell is wiping his hands clean of the City Council pay raise issue, saying it's up to the voters now. The Council overrode the Mayor's veto on the 44% increase Thursday night. Mitchell has said the process in which the raises were presented was too low key, and now says cost of living adjustments should be completely abolished from future city budgets.

Mayor Mitchell is telling voters it's up to them come next election cycle to remember the Council's actions.
