Mattress Causes Fatal Crash on Rte 128

Police are still looking for a vehicle that was carrying a mattress after a fatal crash on Rte 128 in Burlington.

Tuesday around 3 p.m., a southbound Toyota Corolla hit the brakes to avoid hitting a blue mattress in the roadway. The car was then rear-ended by a Toyota Tundra, which rolled over. A 56-year old woman was killed.

Anyone with information about the vehicle carrying the mattress should call police.
