Harry Carter Hunt IV is my 12-year-old cousin. (We call him "Little Carter," to make it less confusing). He has mild autism and some trouble with handwriting. He might have a tough time expressing himself in person, but somehow leaves it all on paper when it comes to typing.

His social studies teacher, Mrs. Jacobsen had an assignment for her students one day. She asked them 'Why did your family choose to live in Mattapoisett?' It's such a simple question, but Carter finds the extraordinary in the day-to-day. His mom posted this on Facebook this morning, and I just had to share it with you:

After the Pats unbelievable win over the Giants on Sunday, I'm sure there isn't a soul in Mattapoisett who would disagree with Carter's reasoning.

A friendly reminder to count your blessings and be thankful for wherever you are in life.
