MassDOT, RMV Service Disruption This Weekend

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation says web and telephone services will be disrupted this weekend.

Officials say the service interuption will begin Friday night at 8 p.m. and will continue through Saturday at 2 p.m.

Customers will not be able to access MassDOT.com and MassRMV.com during the outage and 857-DOT-8000 will also be unavailable.

The RMV's AAA partner locations will also be unable to provide transactions on Saturday.

E-Z Pass services will not be affected by the outage.

Officials say the service interruption will allow for MassDOT Data Center upgrades such as backup power supply replacement to improve service reliability.
