State Transportation Secretary Richard Davey is pressing the Massachusetts Senate to approve a transportation bond bill, warning further delays could delay critical projects. In a letter on Monday to Senate President Therese Murray and all other members of the chamber, Davey said contracts have already been awarded for 51 projects, including Southcoast Cummutor rail, totaling about $261 million, but work can't begin until the Legislature authorizes borrowing.The bill has already passed the Massachusetts House.
