Massachusetts Colleges And Schools Start To Ban Hoverboards

Emerson College in Boston and West Bridgewater public schools have banned students from bringing hoverboards to school.

According to WHDH 7, administrators in West Bridgewater stated that safety comes first.

West Bridgewater Fire Chief Leonard Hunt stated that his “concern was that they would be in a locker in the school and catch fire and nobody would see it. We didn't want that to happen.”

Emerson College stated that it also is concerned about hoverboard crashes on its densely-populated city campus.
