Last week Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter announced he was not going to be a candidate for State Attorney General but now Maura Healey, who led Attorney General Martha Coakley's challenge to the federal Defense of Marriage Act, announced her plans to run Monday. In her statement, Healy said that her top priority is ensuring the office makes a positive difference on the lives of residents. She says she has the ``experience, passion and vision'' for the office. Healey resigned from the attorney general's office last week to campaign. At this time, no other candidates have made formal announcements that they intend to run.
