Mass. Prosecutors Seek $12 Million For Drug Lab Cases

Prosecutors across Massachusetts have come up with a proposed budget they’ll need to handle cases resulting from the state drug lab scandal. According to Bristol District Attorney Sam Sutter, the Mass. District Attorneys Association is seeking $12 million to cover their costs statewide.

Sutter expects the reopening of cases and possible new trials could last for years, so funding would likely be needed for several years down the line.
