Congressman Stephen Lynch said Obama should get international support and consult with Congress before taking action. Senator Markey has said he might support a surgical strike, but would oppose US troops on the ground.

Yesterday Senator Warren said the US must have a goal in mind before moving forward. President Obama is considering US intervention following news that Syrian president Bashar Assad launched a chemical weapons attack on civilians.
