The man leading the push to build a tribal casino near Taunton will be chairman of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe for another four years.

Cedric Cromwell was re-elected yesterday as the tribe's leader by a 200 vote margin, out of just over 700 votes cast.  In a statement after the vote, Cromwell called his reelection a, quote, "huge affirmation of what we as a tribal nation have accomplished."

The tribe is continuing to negotiate with state and federal agencies to build a $500 million casino in southeastern Massachusetts.
