Markey Caught Napping on Green New Deal [OPINION]

U.S. Senator Ed Markey (D-Mass.) is crying foul. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has promised a vote on the Green New Deal bill that Markey so warmly embraced and Markey says that's not fair!

What?

Markey is emerging after six years in hiding to face re-election next year and has stumbled out of the gate. First, he endorsed the Green New Deal legislation that was proposed by socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), and now that McConnell is putting the bill out for a vote, he is being called a dirty trickster by Markey.

Here's the problem: the bill is garbage and lefties like Markey didn't bother to read it before endorsing it, and now they look stupid for doing so. McConnell is looking to put senators on the record and they want no part of it.

You know the bill. Its the one that goes after cow farting and bans air travel while rebuilding every building in the U.S. while eliminating the use of fossil fuels. Yeah, that bill.

Markey says McConnell is attempting to "sabotage the movement" by putting the bill for a vote.

Pardon me, but I assumed since Ocasio-Ortiz insists the world is going to end in 12 years that you guys would be in a hurry for a floor vote on the Green New Deal. Guess I was wrong. Markey got caught with his pants down.
