Head-On Crash in Marion Leaves Three Injured

Three people, including a 3-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries Thursday in an apparent head-on crash on Route 6 in Marion.

According to Police, 25 year old Danielle Zahara of West Wareham, and 24 year old Mark Lilja, of East Wareham, the two operators, were initially treated at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. There was no condition report on the child because police are not releasing his name.

According to Marion Police, the crash occurred shortly after 2 on Route 6, east of Creek Road. A section of Route 6 was completely shut down for about 30 minutes. The accident remains under investigation.
