Mansfield Amphitheater Undergoes Name Change
An outdoor concert venue in Mansfield has undergone another name change. The Comcast Center has been renamed the Xfinity Center. Comcast and venue owner Live Nation say the name change “reflects the Xfinity brand’s strong awareness and resonance with consumers.” The nearly 30-year-old amphitheater with a covered seating area and uncovered lawn area was originally known as Great Woods and later changed its name to the Tweeter Center. It has a capacity of 19,900 and hosts 35 to 40 concerts per year.
