Man’s Body Found Buried Under Rhode Island House Deck

Associated Press - Police in Rhode Island say a body has been found outside a home where authorities were searching for clues in the disappearance of a Massachusetts man.

Authorities found a man's body Friday buried under several inches of cement beneath a newly constructed deck at a home in Burrillville. The medical examiner's office is trying to confirm his identity.

Police went to the home Friday to look for evidence in the case of Domingo Ortiz of Worcester, Massachusetts. Ortiz was last seen at the home May 5.

Burrillville police wouldn't say whether they believe the body is that of Ortiz.

A local gas station owner alerted police about something odd at the home: fresh cement poured under the deck after it was already built.
