Man Named Tom Clancy Arrested on Drug Charges in Wareham

WAREHAM — Wareham Police have arrested Tom Clancy after finding drugs in his possession.

No, it wasn't the famed author Tom Clancy, but Thomas Clancy, 39, of 64 Mayflower Lane, East Wareham.

Police observed Clancy commit a marked lanes violation in his car as he was driving on Farm to Market Road on Wednesday evening at around 6:30 p.m. Police pulled the car over, found a Class B drug in Clancy's possession, and placed him under arrest.

Clancy is charged with marked lanes violation and possession of a Class B drug. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Wareham District Court on Thursday.
