A man is dead after a truck he was a passenger in apparently lost control early this morning in the Sumner Tunnel in Boston. Massachusetts State Police responded to the single vehicle crash just after 3am Friday.

A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the 2002 Dodge Ram lost control near the Route 93 North ramp in the tunnel. The two other adult male occupants suffered non-life threatening injuries. They are both being treated in area hospitals.

The identity of the deceased man has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Sumner Tunnel and the Route 93 North on-ramp have been reopened.
