A man who was found dead in a water filled bathtub at the Taunton Holiday Inn was not the victim of foul play.

According to the Taunton Daily Gazette, “the 59-year-old Connecticut man reportedly was found Saturday at 11am in the fifth-floor tub by hotel staff, after guests staying in rooms below complained about water coming through their ceilings.”

When police searched the room, they found an almost empty, 375-milliliter bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey and a half-full container of Epsom salt in the bathroom.

The body was later removed by the state’s medical examiner’s office, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
