Man Arresting After Driving Through Security At Federal Courthouse

Witnesses say a man has driven through a security barrier and parked in a restricted area outside the courthouse where Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was being sentenced.

Witnesses say it happened at around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

A police spokeswoman says the man has been detained for questioning. She says he also did not have registration plates on the vehicle.

She says officers searched the car and recovered an object she did not specify, citing the ongoing investigation. An officer at the scene was seen holding a meat cleaver.

The man was taken away in handcuffs.  (Associated Press)
