Mass. Congressman Stephen Lynch of South Boston is hoping voters give him a promotion in June, and elect him to fill John Kerry's seat in the United States' Senate.

Lynch and Congressman Edward Markey are vying for the Democratic nomination.  Lynch appeared Tuesday on WBSM's "More Than Just Talk" program, and defended his vote against President Obama's Affordable Health Care Act.  Lynch says he told the President up-front how he felt.

Lynch says as more provisions of the bill become known, more people will be unhappy with it.  The South Boston Democrat says he's running for Kerry's seat because he wants to be a champion in the Senate for the people of Massachusetts.
