Local elections are being held Tuesday, and officials aren't expecting a decent turnout.

New Bedford Election Commissioner Maria Tomasia gives WBSM News her turnout prediction.

Tomasia says with newcomers in council and school committee races, she hopes new voters will make their voices heard at the polls.

She adds the polling places are all the same as in the preliminary election.

The election is Tuesday, November 5th, with polls open from 7am to 8pm.
