A long applause for Dartmouth high school senior Ashlyn Conde at Sunday afternoon's graduation ceremony. School officials had first told Conde that she would not be allowed to walk across the stage after the senior missed a month of classes due to a hospitalization for Steven-Johnson syndrome. Conde's family, however, took to social media and Superintendent Ana Riley intervened earlier this week, allowing Conde to receive a blank diploma. almost twenty friends and family in the stands wore "Ashlyn Strong" t-shirts at Sunday's ceremony and several students stood and applauded when Conde received her diploma.

Conde will make up the schoolwork she missed over the summer.
