Local politicians want the United States to fight back against the Middle East terrorist group ISIS, but don't want it to turn into another full-scale war.

While visiting the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Congressman Bill Keating says there needs to be a diplomatic solution.

Both Keating and US Senator Elizabeth Warren say they are opposed to deploying troops to the Middle East to combat ISIS. They also shared their condolences to the family of James Foley.

The US journalist and New Hampshire native was seen being executed by ISIS in a video released Tuesday.

The White House confirmed his identity on Wednesday and is currently attempting to identify the masked man that beheaded the American.
