Local Fireworks Displays

The annual Freedom Festival sponsored by the Bristol County Savings Bank is being held tonight at U Mass Dartmouth. The campus opens at 3 pm with the musical program featuring Santa Mamba and Entrain beginning at 6:15. The firework begin at 9:15 with an intro of patriotic songs by "Mental Note". Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs but they are reminded this is an alcohol free event. In Freetown, fireworks will be shot off at 9:30 over Hathaway Park in Assonet. New Bedford's fireworks display will be launched over New Bedford harbor Thursday night at 9 pm.
