Local Blessing of Animals and Pets

Last weekend, the traditional Blessing of the Fleet attracted a large crowd to the Working Waterfront Festival.

This weekend a blessing of another kind takes place locally. The Rev. Scott Ciosek, Pastor of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church at 351 Elm St. and also the pastor of Saint Martin's Episcopal Church at 136 Rivet St. is offering a free community wide Blessing of Animals and Pets on Sunday, October 6.

The blessing at St. Martin's is at 9 am and at 10:30 am at St. Peter's. Everyone is invited to bring your animals and pets to be blessed.
