So many of us are starting off the new year with a resolution to lose weight and maintain a healthier diet. But for a local Taunton High School twin girl, who's dancing competition judge said she needed to work on her tummy if she's going to wear revealing costumes, it meant nearly passing away.

In her bedroom, filled with accolades and trophies for her dancing accomplishments, there was an emptiness that only sufferers of Anorexia Nervosa can truly identify with. From a healthy, energetic 15-year-old youth, Haylei Conte, spiraled down into an abyss of emotional and physical despair, and after two years, barely weighed over 80 pounds.

NewsCenter 5 interviewed Haylei, who competed last month for the title of Miss Taunton. Her story is a New Year's inspiration to us all. And what Haylei is posting daily on her Facebook page, reminding others that unhealthy worry is detrimental, is a cause for a standing ovation! Like her Facebook page.
