The greatest Portuguese feast in New England. The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, opens its historic gates, today, Thursday, July 30th and continues thru Sunday, August 2nd. WBSM wishes all the Festeiros, the feast committee, and it's 101st Feast President, Nelson de Gouveia, a successful, safe and enjoyable celebration! Are you hungry? Try all the Portuguese delicacies: Grilled linguica on a Portuguese Pop, Cacoila (pork), Cabra (goat), Coelho (rabbit), Bacalhau (cod fish) Grilled Carne d'espito (Angus Beef), Molho frito (fried cornbread squares), Malasadas and of course, Madeira wine, Madeira wine and Madeira wine in giant casks!

There's non-stop live entertainment on three stages, cabaret-style music and Fado singers in the Courtyard Café at the Museum of Madeiran Heritage. CANDLEBOX headlines the opening concert Thursday evening at 10 pm on Stage One. Trent Tomlinson wraps up the Feast Sunday night at 10 pm., but in between, some of the greatest talent and traditional folk dancers entertain you. For the kids, there's a carnival midway and more street vendors than you can shake a stick at. Seniors will receive half-price specials on Saturday and on Sunday, there's the 2.5K road race and the signature Feast Parade.
