NEW BEDFORD — Lesley University of Cambridge will soon have a strong presence in New Bedford.

They have announced an educational and professional partnership with the DeMello International Center.

Lesley University educates more than 2,500 undergraduate students and 5,000 graduate students each year. Now they will have a full time presence in New Bedford.

Assistant Vice President for the Adult Learner at the university told WBSM News that they will allow learners to earn college credits with no bachelor's degree. They will offer classes in the New Bedford School District as well as at the DeMello Center.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the DeMello Center on Union Street, Tuesday, August 14 at 11 a.m.
