Legislators Show Support For Earned Sick Time

Earned sick time is one of the most talked about ballot questions this fall.

U.S. Senator Ed Markey and California Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez visited with local members of the "Yes on 4" campaign Saturday in Downtown New Bedford.

Senator Markey says earned sick time would provide a more positive work environment.

Gonzalez is the author of similar legislation that was recently passed in California.

She says she is excited to see the Commonwealth take a grass roots approach to try and provide all workers with paid sick time.
