Lawyers Urge Attorney General To Step Down From Lab Probe

Four lawyers' groups are calling on Attorney General Martha Coakley to step down from the state drug lab probe.  They say an independent investigator should take over. The lawyers suggest Coakley may be too close to prosecutors and police to be unbiased.

The groups include the ACLU, the Committee For Public Counsel Services, The Mass Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Mass Bar Association.
