Latin Kings Member Headed To Prison

A member of the Latin Kings street gang has been sentenced to two years in federal prison after admitting to selling drugs in New Bedford.

Thirty-one year old Virgilio Adorno, also known on the street as "Trigga," pleaded guilty in August to selling crack cocaine.

Authorities say Adorno was caught selling crack in an area known as "The Pit" off Bonneau Court in New Bedford where Latin King members were active.

Police also found more crack in Adorno's residence.

Adorno was sentenced Thursday in Federal Court to two years in prison plus three years of supervised release.
