Lakeside Family Festival And Car Show Set For Memorial Day Weekend In Freetown

The 32nd Annual Lakeside Family Festival will be held at Cathedral Camp on Friday, May 27 to Monday, May 30, on Route 18, 157 Middleboro Road, in East Freetown.  The festival will open at 6pm on Friday, May 27, and will close at 11pm. On Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29, the event will run from noon to 11pm, and on Monday, May 30, it will run from noon to 5pm.  Admission to the festival is free.

According to South Coast Today.com, “many activities and events are planned under an entertainment “Big Top.”’  For details, visit: www.sjnfreetown.org/entertainment.  There will also be amusement rides for all ages, a large variety of ethnic and American foods, a raffle, midway games, and a huge Barn Sale.

The 26th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show will also take place on Sunday, May 29 (rain date is May 30).  Registration begins at 8am on May 29 and an award ceremony will take place at 2:30pm behind the entertainment tent.  For more information, call John Remedies at 508-763-0576.

There will be a baked-goods table with a large assortment of cakes, bars and squares including diabetic and gluten-free items.  All the baked goods will be homemade.
