Koczera: Lawmakers To Probe Transitional Assistance Fraud

The wheels are already turning on Beacon Hill, after the State Auditor's office confirms fraud in the Department of Transitional Assistance. 

The audit show more than 1,100 people who were confirmed dead were still receiving welfare checks, and those checks were being cashed. 

State Rep. Robert Koczera of New Bedford is not happy with the news....

Koczera says its very likely at least one legislative committee will begin its own investigation into the fraud. 

The Auditor says the new director of Transitional Assistance is already taking steps to close the loopholes in her department.
