Wareham Police are searching for a suspect after a store clerk was injured during a Tuesday night robbery.

Police Chief kevin walsh says that at around 7 p.m. officers were called to the Capeway Convenience Store on Cranberry Highway.

Upon arrival they spoke with the clerk who said that a masked man entered the store with a knife and demanded money from the register.

The clerk received a superficial wound to his hand when he grabbed hold of the knife as the suspect was reaching into the register drawer.

The suspect, who is described as 6'0 tall white male in dark clothing, then fled the scene with an undetermined.

A search of the area was conducted by a K9 unit and several officers but was ultimately unsuccessful
