Construction of the "South" Campus of the Kennedy Donovan Center in New Bedford is moving ahead.

The site, the historic Grinnell Property, is located across the street from the present Kennedy Donovan Center at the intersection of County and Hawthorne Streets.

Vice President of Development Ann Buono says the center needed more space to house its growing programs. She says the renovations are coming along. "The goal is to have it completed by April of 2016," said Buono, "we anticipate out of these two buildings that we will be serving over two-thousand individuals and families."

The project is estimated to cost about $2 million. Kennedy Donovan provides a variety of services to individuals who face physical and intellectual challenges, and their families.
