Home run king Barry Bonds says the Department of Justice dropping its criminal prosecution of him gives him "great peace."

Bonds wrote on BarryBonds.com that he is "relieved, humbled and thankful" that he and his family can move forward from the case.  The former slugger thanked his fans and legal team for their support and hard work.

The DOJ decided not to challenge the reversal of his felony conviction for obstruction of justice.

Bonds was convicted by a jury in 2011 for failing to give concise answers to questions about steroid injections.

Bonds is MLB's all-time leader with 762 home runs. (Metro Network Inc)
