Jury Deliberations In Murder Trial To Resume Friday

A Superior Court jury is considering the fate of a Wareham man charged with murder.

The District Attorney's office says the murder trial of 23 year old Darius Gamboa wrapped up Thursday in Fall River.

The jury deliberated for about three hours before going home for the night. They'll return to court Friday morning.

Darius Gamboa and his father Ryan are both charged with murder in the July, 2012 shooting of 31 year old Julio Barbosa of New Bedford.

Police say 43-year old Ryan Gamboa chased Barbosa with a knife through the 7-11 parking lot at Cove Road and Rodney French Boulevard on July 6, 2012 before Darius Gamboa shot him in the back.

The D-A's office says Ryan Gamboa's trial is expected to begin when his son's trial is completed.
