San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro is getting President Obama's nod to be the next Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.  He'll replace Shaun Donovan, who will become Obama's new budget director.

During a speech at the White House, Obama called Castro an "all star."  Castro is 39 years old and will be in charge of managing a budget of about 47-billion dollars.  Obama says Castro will work hard to make sure people can live the American dream because he's lived it as well.

Castro calls it an honor and a blessing to be named to the post. He also thanks San Antonio for all their support. Castro still needs to be approved the U.S. Senate.

Castro was the first Latino to deliver a keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2012. (Metro Networks Inc.)
