Questions have been swirling in Dartmouth over what's happening with John George Farm.

Dartmouth's Director of Public Health, Christopher Michaud, confirms to WBSM News that the farm is under new operation, but could not confirm if the farm had been sold. The Bristol County Registry of Deeds told WBSM News they have no records of any recent transactions relating to the sale of John George Farm.

Michaud says the farm is being converted into a dairy operation, with much of the acreage being used to grow corn to feed dairy cows.

Complaints over the spreading of manure on the land were recently made to the town. Michaud says he asked the state Agricultural Commission to speak with the new operator over the use of manure to minimize any issues.

Michaud could not confirm the identity of the new operator of John George Farm.
