Jim Mathes To Lead Dennison Memorial

There is a new President and C-E-O at Dennison Memorial Community Center in the South End.

Dennison officials announced Tuesday that Jim Mathes has been hired to lead the agency, which provides education and recreation programs for young people in that part of the city.

Mathes is optimistic about Dennison's future....

Dennison Executive Director Sean Hargraves is applauding the Mathes hiring...saying they'll work together as a team to bring a bright future to young people in the South End.

Mathes is leaving the YMCA Southcoast to join Dennison.  He previously founded the Smiles Mentoring program and served for 22 years as president of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce
