FALL RIVER — Mayor Jasiel Correia apparently wants to pay his investors back in exchange for immunity from lawsuits.

The Fall River mayor filed a motion Wednesday for a federal judge to allow him to speak with the investors in his smartphone app, Sno Owl, so he can repay them. Correia says he has $306,000 available in escrow, but declined to comment on how he obtained the money.

Prosecutors say Correia used investors' money to fund a lavish and luxurious lifestyle.

Correia was arrested in October and pleaded not guilty to federal tax and wire fraud charges.
