Is The Ice Bucket Challenge Really Raising Any Money? [Interview]

The Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS has gone viral, not just in Massachusetts but now around the world!

One of the biggest questions being asked is, "This is all fun for these people but is anyone really sending in the money?" The answer is "Yes!" and they're sending in a lot!

Lynn Aaronson from the Massachusetts Chapter of ALS joined us this morning with some details. As of August 13, 2014, the Massachusetts chapter has received $394,361. That compares to $25,800 for the same time period last year. Nationwide they raised $1.3 million last summer, this year it is $5.7 million with more coming in.
