Will South Coast Rail take a backseat to Boston's transit woes? Governor Charlie Baker says not necessarily.

With the MBTA facing severe structural and financial issues, Governor Baker says it's important to keep in mind there is still much work to be done before the state breaks ground on a commuter line to the Southeastern part of the state.

Baker says South Coast Rail has another five years of permitting to go through.

The Governor says his administration will continue to pursue the planning work associated with the project.
