The two innovation schools planned for New Bedford have been met with some opposition. One school would provide bi lingual education and would be located in the Roosevelt Middle School and the other would highlight the Arts at the Gomes School.

Three teachers in the Renaissance Community School for the Arts appeared on WBSM's More Than Just Talk and said that an agreement has been reached between the schools and the local teacher's union.

The schools will await final approval from the School Committee in April before moving forward.
