Though the temperatures are beginning to cool, mosquitoes are still buzzing around.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health says bird-biting mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus and EEE have been found in the industrial park in the far north end of the city.

The Bristol County Mosquito Control Project completed it's spraying program last month, since spraying is no longer an effective tool in cooler temperatures.

The risk of mosquito-borne illness typically extends until an area experiences a hard frost, or two consecutive hours with temperatures below 28 degrees.

Until then, residents are advised to wear appropriate clothing, and remain indoors between dusk and dawn.
