It's tax time and if you're a resident of the state of Massachusetts, you'll have to file federal and state taxes. How does our fair state compare? Well, they don't call it Taxachusetts for nothing!

Only seven states in the U.S. have a flat income tax rate. That means that regardless of how much you earn, everybody has to pay 5.3% from their earnings. Massachusetts is highest on the list of seven states with flat rate income tax.

Tired of kicking up a portion of your earnings? Here is a list of nine states that have no individual income tax rate.
